Precision Meets Innovation
At Aegis, we design, manufacture and verify bespoke metrology fixtures to boost your Inspection accuracy, productivity and efficiency.

"
Our Fixtures
Our family of fixtures allow us to meet your exacting requirements
Single Fixtures
Holds a single component. Ideal for parts with low volume throughputs or large, complex components

Family Fixtures
A single fixture which holds multiple parts of differing types. Ideal for components in product families allowing all parts to be inspected with the same tooling
Fixtures holding multiple components of the same type. Ideal for high throughput components and allows improve efficients and lower operator requirements
Multi-Nest Fixtures

Tumble Fixtures
Fixtures which allow for precise manipulation of components, either manually or automatically which provides for maximum component access.

Kinematic Loading Systems
Precision loading systems for seamless and rapid change over of your fixtures.
Tangible Productivity Boosts
What benefits do bespoke fixtures provide?
By applying innovative, ergonomic and operator friendly design principles, the benefits of high quality fixturing can be realised:
Increased Accuracy - A fixture which reliable and securely holds components without distortion will provide the highest fidelity measurements possible.
Repeatability and Reproducibility - A good fixture will increase the measurement capability of your inspection process, and allow you to meet compliance requirements.
Productivity Boost - the increased efficiency and throughput from a reliable fixture will reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Minimised Operator Training - Well designed fixtures reduce training requirements and errors from operators and technicians.
When brought together with our metrology services, we can provide a seamless turnkey solution to your fixturing requirements.

Deployable Flexibility
We can design and produce fixturing solutions for numerous metrology equipment. Here are our most common systems:
Our Approach
We put you at the centre of all our projects and work with you from initial concept to installation and sign off. If part of metrology service package, programming and measurement systems analysis may also be included. Here's what to expect:

Requirements Capture
We explore your circumstances in detail to ensure we understand the required specification and outcome.
Design Sign-off
the final design is provided with drawings and models for your review and acceptance

Manufacture
The design is manufactured in-house by our highly skilled toolmakers

Assembly & Verification
The fixture is assembled and verifed to drawing to ensure the highest quality
Delivery & Installation
Fixtures are delivered and installed by our team of highly experienced metrology engineers
Design
A concept is shared to provide opportunity for feedback and ensure expectations are met.

Frequently asked questions
How long will projects take?
Lead time can vary great due to factors such as part and inspection complexity or special material requirements. The majority of our projects take between 6 and 12 weeks.
What materials do you use?
Our construction of choice is a high grade aluminium alloy - chosen for its lightweight and stable machining properties. We then anodise for robustness and cleanroom compliance.
We combine this with the use of specialised engineer plastics for compliant retention mechanisms and to low friction mating services.
Stainless and hardened tool steels are also employed where superior wear resistance is needed.
Are fixtures operator friendly?
Our fixtures are usually designed to be used by operators with minimal training and instruction whilst providing reliable workholding.
We utilise modern and innovative designs to make the fixturing process simple and intuitive.
